Dress for Chill
Dress for Chill committee provides brand-new winter outerwear to children in Boyne City’s Elementary, Head Start, and Preschool programs. The project began after we discovered that some children were missing recess because they didn’t have warm clothing. In 2023 alone, we helped 221 children—and that number continues to grow.
We fundraise year-round to purchase boots, snow pants, jackets, hats, and gloves, seeking out the best deals from local merchants to stretch every dollar. Each October, we carefully organize the clothing by size and personally fit every child to ensure comfort and warmth. Seeing the smiles as children head home with their very own winter gear is the heart of what Dress for Chill is all about.

Lights of Love
The Lights of Love committee raises funds by offering donors the opportunity to purchase lights or hearts in honor or memory of someone special. These heartfelt dedications are displayed on the Lights of Love holiday tree, which stands in a public space in Boyne City. The annual tree lighting ceremony, held in early December, welcomes the community to gather for caroling and a light dinner at a local restaurant. All proceeds from the lights and hearts directly support Hospice. Since its inception, Boyne Eta Nu Charities has proudly donated over $120,000 to Hospice through this meaningful tradition.
